Solo Mining Help

@zippymine And it's all true
But I might be biased ......
-
@haitch Here's a question - how is that the mining community as a whole have not embraced PoC, bearing in mind the energy savings to gain? I see article after article about Pow and PoS but almost nothing on PoC
-
@zippymine It's being worked on. A lot of the effort has been held back prior to the fork, expect to see a lot more promotion in a couple of weeks - a lot of it specifically focusing on the power costs and centralization of BTC/LTC/Eth vs PoC coins. Currently Burst is the only PoC coin. Chia could become something, but currently they say they've written 0 lines of code.
I see very good things happening with Burst, so don't be discouraged by what has been, and look forward to what will be.
-
@haitch I totally agree and never been discouraged. I started mining Burst 9 months ago. I bought a load as well because it is so obvious that PoC is the future. The roadmap looks fantastic, especially when HDD can be used for storage at the same time as mining. Also, going back to the media, I see articles where moans are expressed about the energy consumption of PoW but they never mention PoC as an alternative. That says a lot about the calibre of the authors imo
-
@zippymine I'm not sure if it's the authors, or just Burst flying too low under the radar. I expect that to change.
-
@haitch It's inevitable. Is it possible that qbundle reward recipient checking function is also faulty? The reward recipient is still showing as a pool address rather than my account address
-
@zippymine Scrub that, it just changed. Many thanks again
-
@zippymine It takes 4 blocks, which is ~16 minutes, but can be a couple of hours worst case.
-
@haitch Solo mining as we speak
-
@zippymine Good to hear. What size plot are you mining with? solo needs a big setup.
