Turnkey Mining Systems

  • Nice setup. How much wattage does the compute consume in this setup on its own? Just curious.

  • admin

@cybermancer The compute side was about 6W. I'll measure the whole thing once it's fully mining.

Nice. Can you give metrics on how fast storage is read by the miner based on capacity? Also, how do we purchase from you?

    Thanks,

@cybermancer I'm moving 32TB of plots over to the unit right now - plot with highend Windows system then migrate over to the Odroid. Will post mining screen shots when they're complete.

Purchase can be via US$/Burst/BTC - let me know what you want, put down a 50% deposit, then pat off the other 50% when the unit is built and ready to ship.

Which creepMiner version? I've heard 1.80 still has kinks to work out/may be slower. I'm thinking you could reduce read time by optimizing the number of reader and verifier threads. In the odroid I bet the bottleneck is memory, so maybe run without the desktop: drop to a tty (ctl-alt-F1) and login. Then sudo systemctl stop lightdm.service -- that should free up a bunch of memory. Then install htop (cause nobody should have to try to get values from top) & check out how much memory you have free for maxBufferSizeMB. Set it as high as you can without having the Out Of Memory Killer killing creep. From there you can mess with reader and verifier (intensity).

  • admin

@kernelofrust It's currently Creepminer 1.7.16. I'v e played with the intensity value and memory, best currently is intensity 6, and mem 1.5GB, but removing the gui and anything else I can as well might make it better.

@haitch Still plotting, only up to 40TB, but an 80TB Odroid mining rig:

    0_1525550067666_28724001-5d70-40ff-a3a8-b6eecc56715d-image.png

Estimated mining time per round = 2 min 30 sec - from a computer that draws about the same power as a single HDD ....... and has a full GUI & Linux experience.

Haitch I finally saved enough to purchase 16GB - WiFi 5 (ac/a/b/g/n) - $163.00. Can you PM me with PayPal info so we can trade?

    Thanks,
    Cybermancer

  • Just purchased 32GB - wiFi 5 (ac/a/b/g/n) - $176.00 from haitch.

Thanks @haitch. I know it will take a bit for you to build and ship so while I wait I got another 8TB drive inbound for my voiplanparty.com pool to boost the mining probability.
